PLAY
One of the things I learned to do better in 2011, I think, was play.
Not on purpose, truthfully… it became a fortuitous result, and
I was smart enough to notice it.
Adults who play need to ignore ‘should-ing’ and all guilt about it, that’s for sure.
They need to actually work at play in the beginning,
so they feel okay with it,
and can then let a more playful flow start to happen.
For instance, one thing I learned, was that
play can be quiet sometimes,
solitary, and quite personal.
However it happens, play is necessary for a healthy life,
Because play feeds into the good kinds of energy (our most important resource)
~ Positive energy
~ Strengthening energy
~ Hopeful energy
Play is essential, for it simply makes us happier, and
Happy people are the people others want to be with.
Reminder: Personal quiet is fine, but life is not a solo proposition.
I’m sorry I’ve left the play out of so much in the past,
But no use dwelling on that,
for every day is a chance to live again,
and play more than I did before.
That, I can do. And so, I will.
Postscript: Something I wrote in 2011 which came about as a result of more play and less work was this: Be unencumbered.
Postscript 2: What value will evoke more play for you? Can you include it here?
