Rules of Palship | Lists of Note
We make agreements with each other constantly: What might you have kept constant (or lost…) in your agreements over the years? How are they different for you now as an adult compared to when you were younger, “and life was far, far simpler?”
In August of 1915, 14-year-old Noël Coward and his best friend, the actress Esmé Wynne, half-jokingly drew up the following “Rules of Palship,” mainly in an attempt to minimise arguments in what was an incredibly close and sometimes turbulent friendship.
