Yes, I’m all a-Twitter too
As I wrote in my first “tweet” – “had to wish Todd Storch a happy birthday today [this was yesterday] and it won’t be the first time he got me into something…” Todd and I got to know each other as blogging buddies in my early Talking Story days, and when he responded to the birthday message I sent him I noticed that all his old email blog-signatures were gone, replaced by “Follow me at Twitter: http://twitter.com/ktoddstorch”
So… loving Todd as much as I do, I decided somewhat impulsively that, “Okay my friend, think of my plunge into Twitter as a birthday gift of how much I care about you!” (What I was thinking… didn’t actually say that to him.)
I’ve had a Twitter account parked in my name for a while now, for I had heard so much about it from those in our Ho‘ohana Community who were earlier adopters (especially Joanna). Tumbled about that “parking” decision here.
At first I really didn’t get it, and just into my second day I am now realizing why people have become such tweetering fans. This article today explains my own shift pretty well, found via a tweet this morning by Chris Brogan :) Forget Facebook, everyone’s a-Twitter
At this moment in time, I’m sensing another evolution of sorts in my Brex-ing:
- Traditional website (needed to hire a webmaster)
- Blog platform (could actually do it myself!)
- Blogging (guess there is more that comes with this… Oh! a community ecosystem!)
- Group Blogging (Joyful Jubilant Learning is born! Eleven Things, circa October 2006)
- Tumbling (put the lifestreaming stuff here, and edit your blogs better!)
- Twitter (what say we change this up a bit and see where else social media takes us, hmm?)
Those who think I write too much will be very pleased about the 140-character limit I need to train myself in on Twitter… so, to continue with Todd’s lead… Follow me at Twitter: http://twitter.com/rosasay
To be continued… What will Brex-ing at number 7. be?
