I was curious about where the “i” in iPod, iTunes, iPhone, iPad (and now iSad) originally came from, and found this. The photo is a screen-grab from the beginning of this video, wherein Steve Jobs introduces the very first iMac in 1998.

From Return to Apple: At the 2000 Macworld Expo, Jobs officially dropped the “interim” modifier from his title at Apple and became permanent CEO. Jobs quipped at the time that he would be using the title ‘iCEO.’
