Third photo for a Flickr Gallery created this morning for my Twelve Aloha Virtues. As I wrote there:
From youth to age… I would love to know what he is thinking.
The black and white treatment is so perfect here, from the dark in the lower left corner to the bright white top right, where no corner can be seen, and where there seems to be a connection to his fingertips. It is fitting, and wondrous, that the complexity of man dwells within the greys.
My search was for faith.

Second photo for a Flickr Gallery created this morning for my Twelve Aloha Virtues. As I wrote there:
Imagine.Imagine what a different world this would be if we all had this reverence and unquestioning belief when we are this young, then continuing to explore our faith throughout our lives as connected to the beliefs borne in our childhood trust.
Why does this child believe? Which adult did he trust? What is he hoping for? How can we be the world he imagines is possible?

I was born and raised a Christian, and starting this gallery on Christmas Day, this speaks to me in so many different ways. It is stunning in its photo artistry. It illustrates that we need not always clasp our hands and bow our heads to pray, and that when genuine, there is a humility of openness present in prayer, wherein we open ourselves to an illuminating light. That light of Being will warm our inner greatness when we allow it to happen; it will grow our good nature.

On the 1st Day of Christmas: Prayer

Prayer. There is so much comfort in the thought that Someone bigger than ourselves may be listening, and may care. There is comfort knowing we always have Someone to talk to about anything and everything. I do not shy from admitting I can use those comforts.
